This website is for beginner English learners. Teacher Rodger is an online English learning platform for beginners. It helps adults learn English using simple lessons, stories, and real-life speaking practice.
These online English lessons are designed for people who are new to English or returning after a long break. You can study at your own pace and choose topics that match your real-life needs.

Please explain your 3 beginner levels.
There are 3 beginner levels: LOW Beginner is mostly new vocabulary (words) and simple sentences. There is some easy grammar and lots of listening practice. MID Beginner has longer stories and one or two role plays per lesson. The focus is on listening practice. We practice daily situations such as shopping or hotel English. In the HIGH Beginner level the focus is on reading short stories. There are many interesting topics for reading and listening practice.

Do I need to know English to start?
No. You can start at Level 1 (True Beginner).

How do I study a lesson?
First, learn the vocabulary.Then, read the story. Last, try the questions or role-play.

How long is one lesson?
Most lessons take 10–20 minutes but it depends on you. Some people take 10 minutes, others need an hour.

Are the lessons free?
Yes, you can use many lessons for free.

Can I use my phone?
Yes. You can study on phone, tablet, or computer. The lessons are formatted for all devices.

Will I hear English audio?
